On Friday, October 21st, We Are Family (WAF), a local organization, will mark Spirit Day by hosting an event featuring young LGBTQI artists of color. “Spirit Day: True Colors, True Spirit” will start at 6:30 pm at The Southern Gallery. Spirit Day is a global event that encourages everyone to stand-up against bullying and show their support for LGBT youth. You can learn more about it from GLAAD’s website.
The local event will feature a program that will celebrate the creative expressions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and intersex (LGBTQI) youth of color. Highlights include:
