Every night before he tapes The Late Show, Charleston native Stephen Colbert takes a few questions from the audience. Recently, an audience member asked him when he knew his wife was “the one,” which led to a fun story about how the couple met one year during the Holy City’s Spoleto Festival.
It’s always nice to see Colbert talking about Charleston, even if this was the second Holy City-related clip to come from The Late Show this month. On July 1st, the show’s YouTube account posted a video showing Colbert’s recent trip a Charleston Waffle House with musician Sturgill Stimpson.
