Save the Light, a non-profit organization that was formed to save the Morris Island Lighthouse from being lost to the sea., will host an Oyster Roast on Bowens Island this Sunday beginning at 2 pm.
The event features all-you-can eat oysters, chili hot dogs, deserts, soft drinks, beer, wine, and entertainment. Live music will be provided by:
- 2 pm: Southbound 17
- 3 pm: The Minimum Wage Band
- 4 pm: The Shakin' Martinis
Tickets are $30 if purchased in advance ($35 at the gate) and 100% of the proceeds are used to support the restoration and preservation of the Morris Island Lighthouse.
