5Church Charleston will make its public debut at 5 pm this Friday at 32B North Market Street, near the corner of East Bay Street. The restaurant and bar is housed in the historic Church of the Redeemer and Harriott Pinckney House. However, you may remember it has the old Mad River location.
Offering New-American cuisine, craft cocktails, and creative décor, 5Church will be open for dinner, lunch, and brunch. The restaurant's modern décor includes the building iconic stained glass windows, a white concrete bar, black leather benches, chandeliers, large-scale pop-art, and hand-painted verbiage of Sun Tzu's “The Art of War” on the ceiling.
The design is not the only aspect of the restaurant that will mimic its sister property from Charlotte. Patrons can expect similar food and drinks as well.
5Church Charleston's executive chef Jamie Lynch will be serving Charlotte menu favorites like the “60 Second” NY Strip Steak and the 5Church Lamb Burger, along with new, locally-sourced dishes. A 150-bottle wine list, specialty cocktails, and craft beers will complement the menu.

The restaurant will seat 170 guests with an outdoor patio and bar area. There is also a private dining room available for events. Complimentary valet parking will be offered for all patrons.
