The much anticipated opening date of The Tattooed Moose on Johns Island has finally been revealed. Earlier today, it was announced that the new location’s first day of business will be Tuesday, August 25th.
Other than being in a new locale, the new bar/restaurant will not be much different than its predecessor. The Johns Island establishment will have the same concept and business hours as the downtown location.
The hours are as follows:
- 11:30 am to 2 am daily
- Kitchen will remain open until 1 am daily
- Brunch will be served every Sunday from 11:30 am to 3 pm
- Happy Hour will be Monday-Saturday from 4 pm to 7 pm
- Pick-up/to go orders will be available during business hours
The only changes to the menu will be the addition of a mac ‘n cheese side dish and a separate kids menu. Kids can choose between a cheeseburger, grilled cheese, or a corn dog served with a choice of either french fries or a fruit cup.
Patrons can also expect daily food specials, and the extensive beer collection the Tattooed Moose is known for. Plus, the bar will offer non-alcoholic beverages, spirits, wines, and a rotating selection of house-made craft cocktails on tap. spirits, winewhich includes 6 local brands.
The menu and vibe may be the same, but the Johns Island Moose will have a larger kitchen, bar (3o seats!) and dining area, as well as outdoor seating with a covered patio.
Beginning on September 3rd, the Johns Island location will offer free live music every Thursday night from 6 pm until 9 pm. Lindsay Holler will be the first musician to perform.
The excitement doesn’t end there. Owners Jen Kulick, Mike Kulick, and Jason Houser have begun renovations on the building next door, which will house a retail butcher shop for Meathouse Butcher Shop. Both locations of the Tattooed Moose feature Meathouse Butcher Shop products on the menu.
