Sullivan’s Island restaurant The Obstinate Daughte will soon pair up with North Charleston's “pay-what-you-can” restaurant, the Destiny Community Café.
The café was established to provide inexpensive meals for residents who may not be able to afford food.
Once a month, staff from The Obstinate Daughter will volunteer their time by cooking a meal and donating food and services. The first volunteer lunch will be this coming Wednesday.
Anyone can attend the lunch. All money goes directly to the café.
The Destiny Community Café is located on 5060 Dorchester Road. They are open Monday through Friday from noon until 2 pm.
