Shem Creek’s Tavern & Table and Red’s Ice House are co-hosting the first ever rubber duck race fundraiser for women’s cancer research. The event, known as “Just Ducky.” will be held on Mother’s Day (this Sunday) at 2:30 pm.
The rubber ducks will “race” through the creek with the owner of the winning rubber duck receiving a $300 gift card to Tavern & Table and a $250 gift card to Red’s Ice House.
Ducks are available for purchase at both restaurants. The cost is $100 per entry and 100% of proceeds go to women’s cancer research at the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Afraid your duck won’t win? Then arrive early to decorate your duck for the “duckerating” contest. The best decorated duck will get their $100 entry fee back.
