Join Charleston County Parks for the 25th annual East Coast Paddlesports and Outdoor Festival. The event takes place this weekend – from April 17th through the 19th – at the James Island County Park. If kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding sound like your cup of tea, then this event is for you.
In 2013, the event expanded to include mountain biking, slacklining, archery, climbing, and disc golf, so there really is something for everyone. Also, there is a wall climbing competition open to everyone, so if you like to climb up stuff, this event is going to be your jam.
The event is extended to all levels of expertise in paddleboarding from beginners to experts, so grab your gear and show everyone what you're made of.
The event kicks off on Friday with a special Reggae Nights concert at 8:30 pm. Other activities include: the Reel Paddling Film Festival, the BIC One Design SUP Challenge, slackline demos, the kids' cardboard canoe race, a disc golf tournament, a mountain bike race, a tag team paddle adventure, and an archery contest.
Admission for the event is $1 to get into the park, or you can pay $10 for an all weekend pass, which will get you into all the activities for the duration of the event.
