On Sunday beginning at 11 am, a memorial service for the 73rd anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor will be held onboard the USS Yorktown.
The program will start with a tolling of a bell in memory of the 25 known South Carolina men who were killed in the attack. Medal of Honor recipient Maj. Gen. James Livingston will be one of the featured speakers. There will also be wreaths laid in memory of those who died.
The service was organized with Mt. Pleasant VFW Post 1064 and is free to attend. Admission to the museum will be waived from 10 am – 11 am. Parking will cost $5 per vehicle.
