Downtown speakeasy The Cocktail Club will host a “Slow Sips” Fundraiser this Wednesday to raise funds for Slow Food Charleston. The party will run from 6 pm until 8 pm.
A handful of local and regional distilleries will be represented at the event. Cathead Distilling, Charleston Distilling Company, High Wire Distilling Co., Striped Pig Distillery, and Virgil Kaine will all be onsite doling out free samples.
Plus, The Cocktail Club will offer cocktails featuring a spirit from each of the distilleries. Ten-percent of all proceeds will go to Slow Food Charleston, a nonprofit organization that works to transform “food policy, production practices, and market forces” to ensure “equity, sustainability, and pleasure in the food we eat.”
