There are few boozy events in the Holy City more popular than the Ballpark Festival of Beers, so it should be no surprise that the event is back for its 12th straight year.
The festival will be held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on Saturday, August 23rd from 6 pm to 9 pm. It will feature live music from The Blue Plantation Band and Midnight City, food trucks, corn hole, and beer samplings. Sorry kids, this is a 21 and over event only.
The first 2,500 people through the gates will get a sampling glass and beer tickets. This event will also include the Q104.5-hosted cornhole tournament.
There are supposed to be over 100 different types of beers at both sessions and a handful of food trucks like The Kickin’ Chicken, Hello My Name is BBQ, Roti Rolls, Cast Iron and the Creole Food Truck.
Designated driver wristbands will be available for $15 at the stadium box office on August 23rd only. Plus, taxi services will be on-site to make sure you get home safe.
Tickets are $25 at area Kickin’ Chicken locations or $30 at the RiverDogs Box Office. You can also buy them on-line here. For more information, please call the RiverDogs at 843/577-DOGS (3647) or click here.
