The Charleston RiverDogs have scheduled their annual “Run Forrest Run” 5k on April 19th. The race precedes the team’s game that night against the Rome Braves.
The 11th edition of the Forrest Gump-themed race will start at 4 pm outside of The Joe and concludes at home plate.
If you register for the race by April 17th, the cost is $30 per runner. Each runner will receive a race packet, t-shirt, and one ticket to that evening's RiverDogs game. Late registration is $35. Proceeds from the event benefit the MUSC Storm Eye Institute.
There will be a post-race dinner provided by Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. There will also be an awards ceremony during that night's RiverDogs' game.
