The 3rd Annual Push-Up & Up Challenge Charleston, a push up challenge that raises money for Communities In Schools, will be held on Saturday, May 17th at Marion Square. This MUSC-sponsored, family-friendly event begins at 9:20 am.
Here’s how it works: Teams of six will compete against each other to see who can complete the most push-ups in 30 minutes. There are three divisions: Competitive, Open, and School.
Team registration for the Open and Competitive divisions is $150 ($25 per person). Each teams’ goal is to then raise at least $1,000 towards Communities In Schools' dropout prevention programs.
The School division is free to register, will include area middle and high school students, and will compete for “only” 20 minutes. Although the School division is free, teams are asked to seek sponsorships of $500 to earn free t-shirts.
As the organization says, everyone who participates helps “push up” at risk youth and inspires them to stay in school. So get training and check out the information and video below!
