Beginning at noon on Saturday, December 14th, the Avondale neighborhood of West Ashley will be hosting a shopping event dubbed Holiday WinterFest. Area businesses, restaurants, and over twenty vendors will be open for holiday shoppers to find unique gifts and take advantage of special offers. Food, cocktails, live music, and other entertainment will also be available throughout the area. Proceeds from each participating business will benefit I Heart Hungry Kids, a charity dedicated to ending hunger in the Lowcountry. The Avondale Holiday WinterFest ends at 6 pm, but the fun will continue at Voodoo with an after-party. The venue will have holiday drinks specials and live music.
