The Roper St. Francis Healthcare – Ryan White Program will host its 5th Annual AIDS Walk & Red Ribbon 5K on Saturday, October 12th at Hampton Park. The charitable event features a 1-mile walk and a 5K run beginning at 9 am.
The run and walk are followed by activities like face painting, jump castles, vendors, and more. Pets on leashes are welcome to participate in the walk.
All proceeds go to the hospital’s Medical Endowment fund which directly funds emergency medical care and medications for those enrolled with the Roper Saint Francis-Ryan White Program. The organization is named after a 15-year-old boy who experienced great discrimination because of his HIV status.
