Charleston’s Sol Driven Train and The Windjammer are teaming up again for the 2nd Annual Sol Slam. The mini-music festival will take place this Friday and Saturday (8/3 – 8/4/12) and will feature numerous local acts.
The event will span two nights on two stages with 11 acts, a watermelon-eating contest and a show for children. It should be quite the unique and memorable weekend on the Isle of Palms.
Sol Driven Train will be in the spotlight most of the weekend, and rightfully so, as they are one of the most successful and popular acts to come out of the Holy City. Here’s how the weekend will play out:

5:15 pm – Danielle Howle & Firework Show (Outside Stage)

6:45 pm – The Reckoning (Outside Stage)
7:30 pm – Gaslight Street (Inside Stage)
8:15 pm – Hey Rocco (Outside Stage)
9:00 pm – Fowlers Mustache (Inside Stage)

Tickests are $15 for Friday, $20 for Saturday, or $30 for a two day pass. It’s “bring-your-own-watermelon” for the watermelon-eating contest. A portion of Saturday's ticket and merchandise sales will go to Charleston Waterkeeper and Save the Light. Tickets can be bought HERE.
