Timmons Pettigrew may be a Florence native, but he sure knows a lot about Charleston Beers. Need proof? The writer has a book being released on October 6th about the history of Holy City brewing.
Charleston Beer: A High-Gravity History of Lowcountry Brewing will be released via The History Press on that day, but you can pre-order the book by clicking here.
Timmons boasts some great credentials as it relates to Lowcountry libations. He has written beer-based submissions for The Digitel and Eat This Charleston. So, this book should be filled with plenty of tidbits and facts.
I, for one, am excited to read Timmons’ book. The Charleston City Paper only aided my excitement with their preview of the book’s release (Click here for the City Paper Review). The City Paper mentions that we should “expect plenty of beer-related celebrations to mark the publication date this fall.”
I’ll be sure to keep you posted on any such events as well as any reviews about the book. Cheers!
