On March 7, Trident United Way will celebrate their 8th Annual Read Across America Day, an initiative to encourage children to embrace reading, and they need your help to make it a success in our community.
The organization is calling on volunteers to sign up and read to classrooms across the Tri-County region. This is a unique opportunity to not only promote literacy but to inspire young minds and spark a lifelong love of books. By reading to children, you’ll help foster a sense of excitement around reading and show them that learning can be fun.
The benefits of reading go beyond just academics. Studies show that children who develop a love for reading at an early age have stronger vocabulary, improved critical thinking skills and greater success throughout their education.
