Registration is now open for We Are Sharing Hope SC’s (SHSC), Pickleball for Hope fundraising tournament. The inaugural tournament, hosted by South Carolina’s federally designated organ recovery program, will be held Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Pickleball Kingdom in Mt. Pleasant’s Belle Hall shopping center.
The event is designed to spark connection and conversation among donor families, transplant recipients and the broader community during a fun-filled event centered around one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports.
The two-day tournament will welcome players of all ages and skill levels from across South Carolina while raising awareness about the life-saving impact of organ, eye and tissue donation. Participants will enjoy hands-on coaching to help them get game-ready, along with an easy-to-use tournament app to track brackets and wins throughout the day.
Pickleball for Hope marks a new chapter for SHSC following the conclusion of its long-running Annual Race for Life. As the organization looks toward the future, it is embracing a fresh event format to raise funds to further educate and engage a wider and more diverse audience.
“We are grateful for everything the Race for Life has given our community over the past two decades, but we are excited to partner with Pickleball Kingdom for this year's annual fundraiser. Pickleball for Hope will offer friendly competition and the opportunity to educate and engage our community on the need for more registered donors,” said Krystal Cau, Director of Communications at We Are Sharing Hope SC. “Pickleball is a multi-generational sport and a great way to bring donor families and transplant recipients together as we honor legacies and inspire our community.”
