On Sunday, September 1, 2024, golf aficionados gathered at The Omni Grove Park Inn to compete in a thrilling best-ball golf tournament at the Inaugural Omni Generation Cup, aiming for a coveted spot at the 2025 National Championship at Omni PGA Frisco Resort Fields Ranch in May 2025. Participants competed in three divisions: Grandparent & Grandchild, Parent & Child or Aunt/Uncle & Niece/Nephew, and PGA Professional & Generational Family Member.
With a captivating blend of individual and team play, the game concluded with an exhilarating playoff on the 18th hole between two father-and-son teams. After tying the hole, the competition intensified with a chip-off, where the Palmers emerged victorious, taking home the trophy in a thrilling finish.
