The RiverDogs pushed past the Hill City Howlers in a dominant 10-7 victory on Tuesday night, in front of 2,530 fans at Joseph P. Riley Jr, Park.
The RiverDogs exploded for ten runs on 15 hits, including a three-run third and four-run fourth. In seven games against the Howlers this season, they have scored 60 runs, including three single-game-double-digit outputs.
Taitn Gray had a sensational day at the plate, notching four hits with four runs batted in. Throughout the night, he doubled three times marking the first such performance by a RiverDogs player since 2023.
It marked his third career four-hit performance, and second with nine-or-more total bases.
Eight of the nine RiverDogs hitters reached base, including six multi-hit showings. Cooper Flemming continued his torrid run, doubling twice with an RBI.
On the mound, Jordi Infante was credited with his first Single-A win after 1.2 shutout innings. Trendan Parish slammed the door with 1.2 scoreless frames to secure his first professional save.
With the win, the RiverDogs moved to 64-51 and 27-22 in the second half, while Hill City fell to 49-65, and 18-31 in the second half. The two return to the Joe tomorrow for game two of the series. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. with coverage beginning at 6:50 on the RiverDogs Broadcast Network.

After clinching the Carolina League South first half title, the RiverDogs have secured a spot in the 2026 postseason, presented by Nucor Steel Berkeley. The best-of-three Division Series begins on Tuesday, September 8. Thanks to their first-half division title, the RiverDogs are guaranteed to host Game 2, and, if necessary, Game 3, at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on September 10 and 11.

Fans and their four-legged friends enjoyed a night of tail-wagging fun at The Joe! Dog Day Tuesday featured a Corgi puppy parade through the seating bowl, a hilarious Corgi race on the field before the game, $2 pup cups, drink specials, games and plenty of chances for pups to be named the “Good Boy or Girl of the Night.”
