The Second Annual Riverland Terrace 5K Run/Walk and Kids-Fun-Run, a fundraiser event organized by the Friends of Plymouth Park and the Riverland Terrace Neighborhood Association to support much-needed improvements to the City of Charleston's Plymouth Park, will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 9 a.m. The race features a scenic route through the heart of historic Riverland Terrace, all in support of enhancing a local public park and playground.
The Riverland Terrace 5K is open to runners, walkers, rollers, and families of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply want to enjoy the outdoors, this event offers a chance to give back while getting active. All proceeds from the race will go directly to funding Plymouth Park improvements, such as new playground equipment, landscaping, safety upgrades, and accessibility enhancements.
“We’re excited to bring the community together for this fun event that also gives back to a place so many of us cherish,” said Melissa Funk, Race Director and organizer for Friends of Plymouth Park. “The improvements to Plymouth Park will enhance its beauty and accessibility, ensuring it remains a welcoming place for outdoor activities, relaxation, and community gatherings for many years to come.”
