Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to enjoy a sneak peek of the Holiday Festival of Lights. This year’s Holiday Festival of Lights Fun Run and Walk takes place Wednesday, Nov. 12, and Thursday, Nov. 13, at James Island County Park. Registration is now open, and both nights are expected to sell out quickly.
Participants will experience hundreds of dazzling light displays up close during this two-mile, noncompetitive course—offering a rare chance to enjoy the magic before the Holiday Festival of Lights officially opens to the public on Nov. 14.
Admission is $38 per vehicle (up to 15 people). Each vehicle must have a ticket for entry. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 6 p.m.; park gates close to traffic at 6:30 p.m., and the event begins shortly thereafter. Roads will reopen once all participants have cleared the course.
The event is wheelchair- and stroller-friendly. Socialized dogs on short, nonretractable leashes are welcome, but retractable leashes, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, rollerblades and scooters are not permitted.
Registration is required and available at ccprc.com/1184/Holiday-Fun-Run-Walk. Gold Passes are not valid for this event.
The Holiday Festival of Lights opens to the general public on Nov. 14 and runs nightly through Dec. 31, 2025, at James Island County Park. For more information, call 843-795-4386 or visit HolidayFestivalofLights.com.
