Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will make its eighth visit to North Charleston early in the new year when the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour bucks into the North Charleston Coliseum on Jan. 9–10, 2026. The event marks the seventh stop of the new season.
Across two nights of competition, 40 of the sport’s top riders will face off in the opening round, with 36 advancing to round two. After those rounds, the top 10 riders with the highest aggregate scores will compete for the event title in the championship round.
Competitors will battle for crucial Velocity Tour points, which contribute to the Velocity Global Standings and determine who qualifies for the Velocity Tour Finals in Corpus Christi, Texas, during the first week of May 2026. The top three riders at the Finals who have not already qualified for the PBR World Finals will earn a spot at that championship event the following week.
Last year’s North Charleston event was a close contest, with Felipe Furlan capturing the 2025 title by edging out Dawson Gleaves 174–173 after two rounds and the championship round. Furlan rebounded from a first-round buckoff on Tio Joe to post 85 points on Arnold Palmer in round two, securing a place in the finals. He sealed the win with an 89-point ride on Workin’ Man. Furlan has since joined the PBR Camping World Team Series, competing for the Missouri Thunder.
The two-day event begins Friday, Jan. 9, at 8 p.m. ET and continues Saturday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. ET.
