From July 6–13, 2025, LTP Mount Pleasant, LTP Daniel Island, and Daniel Island Club will host the prestigious USTA Girls’ 18s National Clay Court Championships. This premier event will bring together the most talented junior female tennis players from across the country for a week of elite singles and doubles competition. As a USTA Level 1 National Championship, the tournament represents the highest level of junior tennis in the country and serves as a launching pad for future stars of American tennis. Admission is free and open to the public.
Athletes to Watch, this year’s field features a deep roster of high-ranking players, including:
- Calla McGill (Alexandria, VA) – Ranked No. 28 in the Class of 2026, McGill has shown exceptional promise, recently receiving a wildcard to a USTA Pro Circuit event.
- Nicole Weng (South Pasadena, CA) – A Blue Chip recruit and ranked No. 19 nationally, Weng boasts wins over other elite-level players.
- Ellery Mendell (Watkinsville, GA) – At just 15, Mendell has already reached an ITF final and continues to rise through the junior ranks.
- Blair Gill (Lynchburg, VA) and Chloe Qin (Bloomfield Hills, MI) – Both 5-star recruits with consistent national results. Qin has committed to play at Brown University.
- Janae Preston (Henderson, NV) – Only 14 years old and ranked No. 2 in the Class of 2028, Preston recently captured the J100 Christchurch ITF title.
- Emerey Gross (St. Louis, MO) – A four-time USTA National Ball winner, Gross brings elite-level experience to the court.
