Lowcountry Food Bank’s sixth annual Walk to Fight Hunger will take place Saturday, Sept. 26.
The family-friendly event aims to raise awareness of hunger issues in coastal South Carolina and generate support for Lowcountry Food Bank programs, including Senior Meals, childhood hunger initiatives and fresh produce options for the community.
The walk will be held at Wannamaker County Park in North Charleston. Individuals, companies, civic groups, schools and churches are encouraged to form fundraising teams and join the community at the event.
All funds raised through the Walk to Fight Hunger will support Lowcountry Food Bank’s mission to unite the community in pursuit of equitable, dignified and consistent access to food across South Carolina’s 10 coastal counties.
The event will feature a 2-mile fun walk, scavenger hunt, music and more.
Sponsorship opportunities are available from $250 to $5,000.
Event registration is free. There is a $2-per-person fee to enter Wannamaker County Park, though admission is free with a Gold Pass. Registration with a T-shirt is $25.
