On May 12, Friends of First Tee – Greater Charleston will take on the incredible challenge of playing 100 holes of golf in one day at Wescott Golf Club to raise money and awareness for golf-based character development programs and game-changing transportation services.
Since 2019, Golfathon-ers have raised more than $700,000 to help First Tee - Greater Charleston deliver Golf and Life Skills curriculum at courses, schools, and community centers throughout Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties. Participating golfers collect pledges in the month leading up to Golfathon and complete as many holes as humanly possible, sun-up to sun-down, the day of the event.
Golfathon proceeds play a vital role in keeping First Tee programs free for 97% of participants and fuel the three buses that make programming possible for children who live furthest from the golf course.
Golfers can register to play at FirstTeeCHS.org/golfathon through April 11. All are welcome, but space is limited.
Corporate teams are encouraged, and event sponsorships are available. Interested parties can email Conor@FirstTeeCHS.org to learn more.
