On Monday, May 11, Friends of First Tee – Greater Charleston will take on the challenge of playing 100 holes of golf in one day at Legend Oaks Golf Club to raise money and awareness for golf-based character development programs and transportation services.
Since 2019, the 100 Hole Golfathon has raised more than $800,000 to help First Tee – Greater Charleston serve young people at golf courses, schools and community centers throughout Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.
Participating golfers collect pledges in the month leading up to the Golfathon and complete as many holes as possible from sunup to sundown on May 11. Food and drinks are provided throughout the event, and outlandish gimmicks — such as wacky outfits and golf cart decor — are encouraged.
Golfers can register at FirstTeeCHS.org/golfathon. All are welcome, but space is limited. Email Conor@FirstTeeCHS.org for more information.
