The Charleston RiverDogs return to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park to complete the regular season with a six-game series against the Augusta GreenJackets, the Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, from September 1-6.
The final homestand of the regular season is bringing the fun from start to finish, with a huge retirement party celebrating legendary PA announcer Ken Carrington, a can’t-miss bobblehead giveaway on Saturday and PAW Patrol favorites on the case for Sunday’s home finale. Tuesday, September 1, 7:05 p.m. – Dog Day Tuesday, presented by Twisted Tea and Elanco with Dog of the Year Finale
It all comes down to this! Kick off the week with a tail-wagging celebration at the season’s final Dog Day where Pups of all shapes, sizes, and breeds are invited to join the fun. This week, we shine the spotlight on rescue dogs, with shelters from throughout the season joining us at the ballpark. We’ll also welcome back all of the Goodest Boy and Girl of the Night winners from throughout the season for one final showdown! The winning breeds from this year’s competitions will go head-to-head for the title of Goodest Dog of the Year, with the winner taking home a RiverDogs prize and ribbon. Be sure to arrive early, as the first 500 fans through the gates will receive an exclusive RiverDogs rescue-themed T-shirt.
It’s also another week of Sysco’s Behind the Plate Tuesdays, recognizing the hardworking members of the food and beverage industry.
Wednesday, September 2, 7:05pm – Wicked Weed Wiener Wednesday, with 2-for-50-cent Hot Dogs, presented by SC250; Ladies Night & Girls in Sports Night, presented by Lowcountry Chevy Dealers
For the final time this season, celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an unforgettable throwback deal, two hot dogs for just 50 cents, presented by SC250. It’s Ladies Night, and Shred Your Ex is back! Bring a photo of your ex, watch us send them through the shredder, and score a free basket of fries for your troubles. This night is for the girls, with an on-site flower truck and vintage market in partner with the Jessamine Flower Truck, 84Flea and Deluxe Hats brings a vintage market to the ballpark. The first 100 girls through the gates will receive a free hat, with Anywhere INK. live on-site to press a RiverDogs logo onto their hat.
We’ll also celebrate Girls in Sports Night in partnership with Lowcountry Chevy Dealers, welcoming girls youth sports teams from around the Lowcountry. The festivities also include a check presentation from the Anastopoulo Law Firm to the non-profit Leveling the Fields, which provides free girls sports programming in Title I schools. Members of the College of Charleston women’s sports teams will be on hand, along with a special focus on supporting and celebrating women and girls in sports.
Thursday, September 3, 7:05pm – Thirsty Thursday, presented by Budweiser; Haunted City Night in Partner with Southern Screms
Get ready to scream, sip and party at the ballpark for Thirsty Thursday and Haunted City Night, presented in partnership with Southern Screams! We’re turning up the fun, and the fright, with $1 beers and discounted drinks all night long while the ballpark gets a seriously spooky makeover inspired by macabre. Designed for guests 18 and older, the evening will feature roaming actors, eerie photo opportunities and plenty of surprises throughout the ballpark.
For those looking to skip the scares, there will be designated areas outside of the immersive experience, as well as options for guests under 18. Costumes are encouraged, and a live DJ will keep the party going all night long! The first 250 fans in attendance will also take home a RiverDogs koozie as the club continues to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
Friday, September 4, 7:05 p.m. – Boeing Red Shirt Friday, Ken Carrington Night, Fireworks Friday, presented by REV Federal Credit Union
Come celebrate 25 years of Ken Carrington in the only fashion he knows! Friday night will be dedicated to honoring the RiverDogs’ longtime public address announcer as he celebrates his 25th and final season with the team. The ballpark will be filled with all things Ken, including cardboard cutouts throughout the park, 1,000 cardboard Ken face fans for the first fans through the gates, and a giant retirement card where fans can leave their messages and well wishes. Fans can also enjoy a piece of a giant Ken face cake from Harris Teeter, along with special Ken cookies.
After the game, stick around for a special fireworks celebration set to Ken’s favorite songs, presented by REV Federal Credit Union. Fans will also have the opportunity to bid on the team’s Friday-night Red
As always, join the RiverDogs for another Boeing Red Shirt Friday, encouraging fans to wear red in honor of the men and women who currently serve and have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Saturday, September 5, 6:05 p.m. – Perros Santos Night, Bobblehead Giveaway presented by Berkeley Electric Cooperative and MUSC Health
It’s time to let the Perros Santos go out with a bang! Join us for one last fiesta as the RiverDogs take the field in their Copa de la Diversión uniforms and identity for the final time this season. Copa de la Diversión, or “Fun Cup,” is a season-long Minor League Baseball series in which teams embrace special names and logos that celebrate their local Hispanic and Latino communities. The RiverDogs’ Perros Santos identity pays tribute to Charleston’s “Holy City” nickname, with “Perros Santos” translating to “Holy Dogs.”
The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive the inaugural Perro Santos Bobblehead, presented by MUSC Health. The bobblehead features the Perros Santos logo dog swinging a bat while sporting the identity’s vibrant uniform. Pregame, enjoy a special folkloric dance performance celebrating Hispanic culture through bright colors, music and movement. It’s all part of Noche de Fiesta, or “Night of the Party,” with Norsan Media and El Informador joining us to help celebrate the evening.
Sunday, September 6, 2:05 p.m. – MUSC Health Family Sunday, Paw Patrol Day, Regular Season Finale
End the regular season with one big family-friendly finale! Kids can run the bases after the game, and parking is free for all fans. PAW Patrol favorites Chase, Marshall and Skye will also be at the ballpark for special meet-and-greets with fans of all ages. Fans should arrive early and stop at the Fan Services booth, presented by Charleston International Airport, to sign up for a meet-and-greet timeslot.
With a postseason berth already secured, the RiverDogs will also use the week to continue building momentum and preparing for the 2026 playoffs. Thanks to their first-half division title, the RiverDogs are guaranteed to host Game 2, and, if necessary, Game 3 of the Division Series, at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on September 10 and 11.
