Personal finance website WalletHub today released a report on 2025’s Best & Worst Cities for Football Fans and Charleston was named the 10th worst in the country.
To determine the best places for enjoying America’s favorite sport, WalletHub compared 250 U.S. cities with at least one college or professional football team based on 21 key metrics. The data set ranges from the number of NFL and college football teams to stadium capacity to fan engagement.

- 172nd – Min. Season Ticket Price for College Football Game
- 208th – College Football Stadium Capacity
- 20th – Number of NFL Championship Wins
- 42nd – Number of College Football Championship Wins
- 202nd – College Football Fan Engagement
Charleston ranks No. 241 overall and No. 58 among midsize cities.
