The Charleston Edge Collective, the official NIL Collective of the College of Charleston, will host a community meet and greet with Kieron van Wyk, a senior member of the College of Charleston Men’s Golf Team and one of the most accomplished student-athletes in program history.
The event will take place on Wednesday, January 29th, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at CHS Golf, located at 1919 Savannah Highway in West Ashley. Admission is free, and the evening will include open golf bays, food, a cash bar, and opportunities to interact with van Wyk.
Fresh off his groundbreaking victory at the APGA Farmers Insurance Invitational at Torrey Pines—where he became the first amateur to win an APGA event—van Wyk will connect with fans and supporters as he continues his rise in the world of golf.
In addition, guests can bid on exclusive auction items, with proceeds directly benefiting van Wyk through the Charleston Edge NIL Collective. Items include:
- A golf foursome with van Wyk
- Private golf lessons from van Wyk
- Autographed Torrey Pines memorabilia.
- VIP tickets to the Battle of the Bricks event in April
Proceeds from the event will support van Wyk’s journey to compete at the PGA Tour’s Puerto Rico Open this March, an opportunity he secured with his victory at the White Sands Invitational in October.
“We are honored to celebrate Kieron’s historic achievements and support his journey to the next level of golf,” said Tyler Jones, CEO of the Charleston Edge Collective. “This event is not only a chance for the community to meet one of the most talented golfers to ever represent the College of Charleston but also to rally behind him as he prepares for an incredible opportunity on the PGA Tour.”
