Charleston Digital has announced the return of the iFiveK, an annual spring tradition that blends wellness, networking and community engagement within Charleston’s tech ecosystem.
Entering its 18th year, the iFiveK is one of the most anticipated events on the local tech calendar. The 2026 race will take place Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. at the Charleston Tech Center. Registration is now open.
As the only weekday evening 5K in downtown Charleston, the iFiveK offers participants a distinctive race experience along a loop surrounding the Charleston Tech Center. The event is open to runners, joggers, walkers and participants of all ages and fitness levels.
“The iFiveK reflects the energy and collaboration that define Charleston’s tech scene,” said Ernest Andrade, director of Charleston Digital. “It’s an opportunity to connect beyond the workplace, celebrate innovation and support programs that expand access to technology education.”
Proceeds from the race support Charleston Digital’s education and workforce development programs at the Charleston Learning Center. Participants and supporters are invited to continue the evening at the traditional post-race celebration, featuring music, food and beverages from nearby eateries and microbreweries.
“We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the iFiveK for the eighth consecutive year,” said Lauren Barzee of race sponsor Omatic. “This always-fun event exemplifies the camaraderie and creative spirit that makes Charleston so unique. It’s a real celebration of our vibrant tech community and a key support of Charleston Digital’s educational initiatives that help shape the next generation of trailblazers.”
