Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) is excited to announce the appointment of Jim Duggan (pictured) as the new Athletic Director. Jim joined the CCS community in Fall 2023 and served the school in a variety of roles including Assistant Athletic Director.
In the Spring of 2024, Jim graciously agreed to serve as CCS’s Interim Athletic Director, and he quickly brought stability and process to the school’s programs. The school opened a national search for the permanent Athletic Director position, and we were delighted and honored to have Coach Duggan as an internal candidate. In a strong pool of candidates from across the country, Coach Duggan’s credentials and experience separated him from the pack.
Jim brings a wealth of experience to this position, having spent 16 years at Trinity School in New York as the Assistant Athletic Director and PE teacher. Prior to his time at Trinity, Jim was involved in athletic operations at Horace Mann School. He holds a degree in business from Manhattan College and is an alumnus of Fordham Prep High School.
A true New York sports enthusiast, Jim is a passionate supporter of the Giants, Yankees, Rangers, and Knicks. He and his wife recently relocated to Charleston from New Jersey, and their twin daughters are currently attending College of Charleston and Coastal Carolina University.

"My time here has already shown me the incredible spirit and dedication of our students, coaches, and community. I look forward to building on the strong foundation we have in place and working together to elevate our athletic programs to new heights. Our goal is not only to achieve success on the field but also to develop well-rounded students who embody the values of teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship."
In his new role, Jim will continue to support CCS’s athletic programs and student-centered mission. His leadership has already made a positive impact, with students and colleagues alike respecting him for his dedication to fostering a supportive and dynamic environment both on and off the field.
