On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Race for Achievement Inc., (Race 4 Achievement - R4A) a local nonprofit, will host its 10th Annual #Race4Wanza Doughnut Dash 5k sponsored by Kripsy Kreme Doughnuts. The race will be held in person and virtually. The inspiration for R4A and this event stems from the founders’ childhood friend TyWanza Sanders; the youngest victim of the 2015 Mother Emanuel Church Massacre.
Registration will begin at 7:30 am until 8:30 am at the rear parking lot of the South Windermere Center (61 Windermere Blvd). Participants will run or walk the 5k route, traveling from the starting location to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (1491 Savannah Hwy.), and back. Directly following the 5k, attendees can enjoy the 10 Year Anniversary Celebration Pizza, Wing, & Skate Party from 11 am to 2 pm at the starting location (Kids Garden).
