U.S. Commerce Deputy Secretary Don Graves will travel to Rosemont, South Carolina on Wednesday to tour the Sustainability Institute, a non-profit organization leading climate and environmental sustainability efforts in the Charleston region. It is a recipient of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA)’s Tribes and Underserved Communities Habitat Restoration grant.
NOAA’s Office of Habitat Conservation has a long history of executing large-scale, competitive funding opportunities and providing expert technical assistance to municipalities through the agency’s Community-based Restoration Program to partners across the country to develop high-quality habitat restoration projects that support U.S. fisheries.
