"Governor Henry McMaster’s endorsement of Pamela Evette is an endorsement of the same old tired leadership that's plagued South Carolina for the last decade. Just days ago, Lt. Gov. Evette defended and dismissed a racist post from Donald Trump depicting the Obamas as apes. Instead of condemning it, she made excuses. Now, Governor McMaster is all in for Pam. Leadership requires the courage to stand against racism, not defend it. South Carolina deserves better than more of the same; we deserve leaders who respect every community."
