The South Carolina Democratic Party has reopened candidate filing for State House District 64 under SC Code § 7-11-15(f), after the sole Democratic candidate, David Epperson, withdrew before certification. The district includes Clarendon and Sumter counties.
The filing period will be open from noon on Wednesday, April 8, until noon on Friday, April 10.
Any eligible Democrat must submit the required filing forms and the $208 filing fee to one of the following locations by the April 10 deadline: the SC Election Commission, the Clarendon County Board of Voter Registration and Elections, or the Sumter County Board of Voter Registration and Elections.
If more than one candidate files, they will appear on the Democratic primary ballot on Tuesday, June 9.
