Today, Jaxie Ferguson, Democratic Candidate for Charleston County Council District 9, was endorsed by Run for Something (RFS), a national organization that "recruits and supports the next generation of progressive leaders for state and local office."
“I'm honored to be endorsed by Run for Something," Ferguson. "From the beginning, this has been a people-powered campaign built on the belief that the future of our island communities depends on leaders willing to show up and do the hard work,” stated Ferguson. “Run for Something believes you can run everywhere and win everywhere — and we took that to heart here in the Lowcountry. This endorsement tells the families of James Island, Kiawah, Seabrook, and Folly that our grassroots movement is being noticed well beyond Charleston, and it gives us real momentum heading into November."
“Jaxie Ferguson is part of a new generation of leaders working to move the needle forward on issues important to their communities,” said Amanda Litman, Co-Founder and President of Run for Something. “Run for Something is proud to back Jaxie Ferguson as part of our latest class of endorsees who are challenging the status quo and working to secure lasting change for their neighbors.”
