Rep. Nancy Mace today issued the following statement on the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks:
“Twenty-five years ago, radical Islamic terrorists attacked our freedom, our faith, and the soul of this nation.
“They thought they could break America. They were wrong.
“In the face of evil, Americans came together and stood strong.
“Never Forget is a promise - a promise to the 2,977 Americans whose lives were stolen. To the mothers, fathers, and children who never came home. To the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and Port Authority officers who ran toward danger without hesitation. To the families who never got to say goodbye.
“Twenty-five years later, we remember them all. We remember their courage. We remember their sacrifice. And we will never forget.
“We carry their memory with us. We always will.
“Never Forget. God bless the men and women we lost, God bless their families, and God bless the United States of America.”
