Retired Rear Admiral Nancy Lacore this week announced her campaign for Congress in South Carolina’s First District has raised over $1 million in its first quarter.
The campaign says its fundraising total comes from more than 20,000 individual donors, including over 19,700 who contributed under $100.
“From day one, this campaign has been about service above politics, and I am incredibly humbled by how many South Carolinians and people across the country are inspired by my story,” said Lacore. “People are ready for a new kind of leadership, one focused on getting things done and putting the country first. This early support shows we’re building the kind of campaign it will take to win in November.”
After 35 years of service, Lacore was removed from her position as Chief of Navy Reserve by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth without explanation, a move that drew national attention.
