The public voting period for the Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections’ (BVRE) second annual “I Voted!” Sticker Design Contest is now open. Community members can visit BVRE's Facebook page to cast their votes for their favorite designs by reacting to each with a like or a heart.
The contest features creative entries from students across multiple grade groups, and the top designs will be selected for a limited run of stickers available during the early voting period this fall. Winners will also receive a prize pack, which includes a $50 gift certificate to D’Allesandro’s Pizza and two (2) tickets to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. The public voting period will close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
“We’re thrilled to see our young artists taking pride in the democratic process,” said Isaac Cramer, Executive Director of the Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections. “This contest is about more than just art; it’s about inspiring civic engagement at an early age and bringing our community together to celebrate the importance of voting.”
The Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections is responsible for conducting all municipal, state, and federal elections that are held in Charleston County. BVRE also conducts outreach events with community members that encourage election education and participation.
