The Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections (BVRE) is reminding voters to verify their assigned polling locations for the South Carolina House District 113 Special Election and the Mount Pleasant Town Council Special Election, both of which are scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2024.
Some polling locations have temporarily changed for these contests only. Additionally, voters participating in either special election may choose to cast their ballot before Election Day at BVRE’s headquarters during the two-week early voting period.
Temporary Polling Location Changes:
- Christ Church (Berkeley Electric – Awendaw) has moved to Wando Mount Pleasant Library, 1400 Carolina Park Boulevard, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466.
- Mt. Pleasant 18 and 19 (Trident Academy) have moved to James B. Edwards Elementary School, 855 Von Kolnitz Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464
- North Charleston 5 (Azalea Drive Church of Christ) has moved to Mary Ford Early Learning & Family Center, 3180 Thomasina McPherson Boulevard, North Charleston, SC 29405
Residents are encouraged to ensure their voter registration information is up to date and to confirm their assigned polling locations by visiting CHSVotes.gov. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Absentee voters must return their completed absentee ballots to BVRE’s headquarters at 4340 Corporate Road in North Charleston by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Early Voting Availability:
Early voting is available weekdays from Monday, March 10, 2025 through Friday, March 21, 2025 at BVRE’s headquarters. Early voting times are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Early voting is available to all eligible voters for either special election.
Unofficial election results will be available on CHSVotes.gov after polls close on Election Night.
