Mount Pleasant Town Councilwoman G.M. Whitley has joined forces with some concerned citizens to form the Lowcountry Accountability Alliance, a grassroots organization "dedicated to fostering transparent communication between elected officials and their constituents." The Alliance is calling on Congresswoman Nancy Mace (pictured) to host an in-person town hall to address "pressing issues impacting her constituents, and emphasizes the importance of direct dialogue with their elected Representative to discuss these issues."
Councilwoman Whitley stated, "Our community deserves the opportunity to engage directly with our Representative to discuss how federal policies are impacting our daily lives. An in-person town hall with Congresswoman Mace will provide a platform for open dialogue and accountability."
The group has placed a billboard (see below) on Clements Ferry Road near Rep. Mace’s Daniel Island office requesting an in-person town hall.

The Alliance acknowledges that while Rep. Mace has previously participated in in-person events, these gatherings "may not offer the structured environment necessary for comprehensive discussions on complex issues." The Lowcountry Accountability Alliance believes that a formal town hall setting would better facilitate meaningful conversations and address constituents' concerns effectively.
The Alliance invites all concerned citizens to join their efforts in advocating for transparent and accountable representation.
