The Lowcountry Accountability Alliance has unveiled new billboards near Representative Nancy Mace’s Daniel Island office, continuing their demand for her to hold an in-person town hall and answer to her constituents. The billboards underscore the growing frustration among Lowcountry residents over Mace’s lack of accessibility and transparency regarding pressing federal issues.
The company used to secure the location for the first billboard unexpectedly changed the terms of the original contract, so Lowcountry Accountability Alliance was forced to find a new placement.
"Nancy Mace continues to avoid her constituents while critical issues affecting South Carolina families go unaddressed," said Mt. Pleasant Town Councilwoman G.M. Whitley. "People in our district deserve answers—on everything from rising costs to cuts in vital programs—and they deserve to get those answers in person, not through scripted soundbites or social media posts."
The group is planning a community town hall for March 28 hosted by Councilwoman G.M. Whitley and has extended an open invitation to Representative Mace, urging her to face the voters she represents. The event will provide an opportunity for residents to voice concerns and ask questions about key federal policies impacting the district.
This latest billboard is part of an ongoing effort by the Lowcountry Accountability Alliance to ensure elected officials remain accessible and accountable to the people they serve. Rep. Mace has yet to commit to an in-person town hall.
"Accountability isn’t optional when you hold public office," said Whitley.
