On Thursday, July 31, Fox Music House will host "Voices and Vision: Where Art Meets Action," a panel that explores the role of artists in social justice movements. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Voices and Vision is a hope-centered evening of live music, creative expression, and critical conversation exploring the essential role of art and imagination in social change. Hosted by Meet Us on the Frontlines, the gathering is open to all—every background, age, and experience level is welcome.
This event is both a celebration of resilience and a space for reflection; it’s a chance to be in conversation with artists, poets, organizers, and neighbors as they co-imagine a new vision of justice and possibility. Through music, storytelling, and panel and group discussion, they'll tap into the deep, sustaining force of creativity in movement-building.
As a multigenerational community of changemakers, Meet Us on the Frontlines helps prepare, connect, and empower individuals to identify their unique values, skills, and causes to contribute to a sustainable whole. Their “relay race” model of activism encourages balance and long-term momentum.
“We believe hope is a verb,” said event co-organizer Kate Counts. “It requires action. This is a space for anyone who has felt overwhelmed or unsure of where to begin—because none of us are meant to carry it all. We each have a part to play in this relay. The question is, how can we use our unique skills and gifts to show up bravely right now?”
Voices and Vision is the first in a new quarterly series of gatherings, each one focused on a different facet of community building, organizing, and civic participation. At every event, they’ll shine a light on everyday people doing extraordinary work to build more just, compassionate communities—from grassroots organizers to visionary creatives.
All events are donation-based. Proceeds from this and future gatherings support our 100% volunteer-led work, helping them reach and activate more people, grow local networks of support, and sustain momentum through action-fueled hope.
The event will feature local artists Gerald Gregory, Stu White, Jake Holwegner, Tyler Ross, Jesse Nelson, and Devon Howe.
