On Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 5:30 p.m., the Elbit Out of SC Coalition will attend the Charleston County Council meeting to protest the county's tax agreement with Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems.
While holding a picket outside the building, members of the coalition will speak directly to council members during the public comment period and present them with a petition signed by more than 1,400 constituents supporting an end to the tax agreement.
The protest is the second of four planned for County Council meetings leading up to the November elections.
