On May 1, 2026, at 1 p.m., workers and community members will commemorate International Workers Day with a rally and demonstration against Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems.
Organized by a coalition of labor, community and faith organizations as part of the Elbit Out of South Carolina campaign, the event aims to "draw attention to the company’s receipt of public tax dollars while it faces international scrutiny over alleged involvement in bribery, corruption and war crimes."
Speakers will also address the rising cost of living, which organizers attribute to U.S.-Israeli military actions involving Iran.
