Enough Is Enough (EIE) said they are mourning the loss of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), calling him a “staunch ally” in fighting child exploitation online.
“We are devastated by his sudden passing and are praying for his family and loyal staff," said Donna Rice Hughes, President and CEO, Enough Is Enough, a native South Carolinian and fellow graduate of the University of South Carolina. "Sen. Graham was a loyal, incredibly funny, and dynamic truth teller. His love for America and South Carolina was both inspiring and contagious. His southern charm and down-to-earth humility were hallmarks of his personality.
“He was a brilliant legislator and effective at reaching across the aisle to find common ground in order to solve complex legislative issues, to get a bill over the finish line and signed into law. As a member of the Judiciary Committee, he proved to be a staunch ally in fighting to prevent the online exploitation of children, always demonstrating that protecting children online is a nonpartisan issue with bipartisan support. He was a strong supporter of Enough Is Enough’s efforts in the state of South Carolina and throughout America. I am honored to have known Lindsey and to have worked with him and his awesome team to advance legislation to protect kids online.
“I hope that those who didn’t have the privilege of knowing Lindsey will get to know him by the words of remembrance evidenced by the outpouring of support and love from both sides of the aisle, the presidents he worked with, and from world leaders.
