Entrepreneur and Air Force veteran Dr. Sonja Ogletree-Satani declared victory in the Democratic Primary for House District 98 with 57.69% of the vote as of 10 p.m. on Tuesday with all precincts reporting.
“I’m honored and humbled to be the Democratic nominee for District 98,” Ogletree-Satani said. “We’re building a campaign focused on education and the economy and we look forward to bringing our message to voters across Dorchester County.”
The special election for District 98 will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026. The incumbent, Rep. Chris Murphy, announced his resignation earlier this year.
