Spartanburg native Courtney McClain on Wednesday will officially file to run for Congress in South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District.
The filing will mark a historic moment, as McClain will become the first Black woman to run for Congress in the 4th Congressional District and the youngest person ever to run for Congress in South Carolina (She is 24). If elected, she would be the first Black woman ever elected to Congress from the state.
